Congratulations Greg Manweiler!
This month, Premier would like to put the spotlight on our QCM Operations Manager in University Park, IL, Greg Manweiler.
Greg joined Premier 9 years ago, heading up our very first consolidation center. Some of you may ask what that is, so here is the short version of what Greg does:
He runs our Consolidation Center for the TJX Companies as well as assists in the oversite of the entire University Park facility and campus. Over the past 12 months, Greg and his team unloaded over 34,469,848 pounds of freight and reloaded it on to outbound trailers for all TJX and HomeGoods distribution centers. It is common for Greg and his team to set aside his piece of the business to assist the Service Center with unloading, processing, and loading outbound store deliveries, as well as unloading the return trailers for ARRC, only to have to complete his work on a weekend to stay current with the LOS our customer requires. It would not be uncommon to see Greg riding around the building on a Zamboni, scrubbing the floors at 5:30 in the morning before the building opens to ensure our building is clean and presentable. He is truly a hands-on person and gets it done!
In addition to running a smooth operation, Greg has the perfect family, a wife, Isabel and a daughter, Tracy, just finishing her nursing degree. Born in Wisconsin, Greg is an avid Green Bay Packers fan but by the looks of things, I would keep your eyes out for him switching to the JETS, following Aaron Rogers! Greg has many interests, fishing and riding his motorcycle are two of his favorites. Having owned his own restaurant at one time, he is an avid foodie, loving to try new foods and places to eat. He has cooked for and entertained many famous people along the way. He loves being in the outdoors and it would not be unusual to even see him feeding reindeer an ice cream cone filled with treats!
